c. 1900's antique american ornamental cast brass residential entrance door backplate or escutcheon designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the top and bottom contains a simple "sunburst" design motif. the original swinging keyhole cover remains intact. the surface patina is largely uniform throughout. measures approximately 9 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
