two matching heavily ornamented early 20th century antique american art nouveau style wrought bronze "eulalia" pattern doorknob backplates designed and fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the passage door backplates were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around the turn of the century. the escutcheons feature deeply embossed repeating leafage surrounding the keyhole and thimble. nicely aged surface patina, with wear and discoloration consistent with age. measure approximately 7 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. priced for the pair. multiple sets available.
