rare original faries adjustable bracket with flexible yellow brass gooseneck arm fabricated by faries mfg. co., decatur, ills. this particular factory light fixture was referred to as "no. 78a1/2" in early faries lighting catalogs. the industrial fixture can be mounted from the ceiling, bench top or on the wall (as illustrated in their catalog). the outlet box attachment and/or base features a ball joint socket, allowing the fixture to rotate and/or adjust to any position or placement. the faries adjustable brackets were made for factory bench work, machine shops and drafting rooms. there are a total of 6 fixtures available. each work light retains the original spun yellow brass edison hubbell key socket with shade. the fixtures have been carefully cleaned and rewired. the articulating fixtures were salvaged from a milwaukee foundry dating to 1905-10. the coiled brass arms contain lightly incised manufacturer markings.
