stunning original and intact late 19th century antique american art nouveau style "starfish" pattern ornamental cast bronze residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the finely cast metal doorknob contains a distinctive abstract starfish or elaborate floral motif accentuated with an integrated scroll. the surrounding field pattern consists of a swirl motif. the nicely aged surface patina has not been cleaned and/altered in any way. impressive american nouveau style doorknob.
