intact antique c. 1880's medium blue aqua blobtop hutchinson soda bottle manufactured for illinois bottler conrad hoffman. the front body features a round slug plate with concentric embossing "c hoffmann & co. / lakeview, ill.". the tall hutchinson shaped bottle is finished with a squat neck and an applied oval blob top with some whittling. the smooth base and side seams evidence manufacture with a two leaf mold. the bottle retains a partial remnant of the original patentented spring stopper. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture and irridization or surface wear are consistent with being dug.
