american vintage industrial c. 1940's single-sided "wet system basement only" informational fire sprinkler sign salvaged from the basement of the chicago lighting company factory, chicago, ill. the stamped steel sign contains bold white lettering against a nicely weathered and worn old red paint finish. the original chain that likely was hung over a pipe or valve is intact. measures 18 x 4 inches.
