american single-sided c. 1940's die cut steel passenger drop off porcelain enameled sign originally used on the city streets surrounding union station located in downtown chicago. the white with bold red letter porcelain enameled finish remains virtually intact, with only minor wear along the edges. the exterior street sign was likely fabricated by the the j.h. pollard co., brooklyn, ny. the circular or "lollipop" sign measures 12 inches in diameter.
