unique custom-built solid oak wood interior residential skylight with original deeply etched or wheel-cut amber flash glass insets free from cracks or breaks. the other pieces were either missing, cracked, or badly damaged. the varnished oak wood trim surround is included (not shown). the frame is structurally sound and stable. exact fabricator of glass insets not known. the skylight was salvaged from an edbrooke and burnham-designed residence located in chicago. dates to 1887-88.
