structurally sound and stable c. 1940's freestanding heavy gauge pressed and folded steel metal general store shelving unit or rack with rigid cross-bracing and nicely worn and weathered old red paint finish. the shelving unit was salvaged from an old south side chicago corner grocery store. the fixtures there dated to the 1940's and 1950's. the durable shelves can support heavy loads. exact fabricator not known.
