multi-purpose c. 1940's vintage american industrial four-legged salvaged chicago zim factory workshop table with weathered and worn paint finish. the nicely aged heavy gauge steel table is reinforced with welded joint stretchers between each leg. the table's top consists of a thick steel plate with wear and tear consistent with age. the distressed green painted table was salvaged from the zim mfg. company factory. founded in 1919, the zim manufacturing company specialized in the manufacture of automobile specialty tools and gauges, housewares, and other hand tools. the extant factory is located on the far west side of chicago. the factory machine shop table was likely fabricated in-house. 36 x 40 x 34 inches
