all original c. 1930's adjustable height american industrial angled steel factory stool designed and fabricated by the angle steel stool company, plainwell, mi. the diminutive angled steel stool is comprised of multiple stretchers or braces with riveted joints. the steel base is both structurally sound and rigid in construction. the oak wood seat is original to the stool. the backrest is supporter by two brackets mounted on the underside of the seat. the angle steel stool company was founded in 1910 by charles pipp and john linsey. originally located in otsego, mi., the owners chose to move their busniess to plainwell, mich., in 1922. the industrial furniture fabricator operated well into the 20th century. stool height 22-27", 14" diameter seat, 37-42" total height.
