original antique american industrial refinished revolving all-metal bookstand or shelf salvaged from a chicago bank building office. the exact fabrication is not known. the brushed metal bookstand is comprised of riveted joint vertical metal slats affixed to four shelves or tiers. the top tier contains a three-sided tailguard. the revolving stand is supported by a four-legged cast iron base. great overall condition. the revolving stand is structurally sound and stable.
