single hard to find antique dug c.1905-1929 clear glass hutchinson style beer or mineral water bottle fabricated for brody bottling works. the unusual bottle has a thick body with shoulders tapering into a squat neck and intact blobtop. the front body is strongly embossed inside a round slug plate, "brody bottling works / phone / seeley 2387 / 920 so hermitage ave / chicago, ill." the inclusion of an early telephone number is a rare piece of information, and indicates the bottle was likely manufactured between 1910-1920, when a telephone number was communicated by a city then number, or later the first three letters of a mnemonic and 4 digits. the rear heel contains the maker's mark "a.b.co s-15 / i.b.b.w." crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, including minor surface wear, or discoloration.
