lot of 16 completely intact 19th century privy dug pint-sized colorless or clear glass milk bottles manufactured for various chicago companies. several bottles are machine-made "common sense" shaped bottles which feature vertical fluting all around. several bottles are unembossed while some are embossed. it features the capseat finish characteristic to many milk bottles, meaning a wide bore with an edge about 1/4 inch below the inside of the rounded finish, where the disposable paper cap sealed the contents. the glass containers are in good condition with no major chips or cracks. crudities are typical of age and date of manufacture, including irridization from having been dug.
