thoroughly cleaned and refinished vintage american industrial "steelcrete" belt-driven lathe machine guard fabricated by the consolidated expanded metal companies, braddock, pa. the expanded metal arch top guard was salvaged from the boylston steam specialties factory, located in downtown chicago. the machine guard is reinforced with a riveted joint heavy gauge flat metal frame enclosed with pierced hole steel mesh. the vintage industrial machine guard can be repurposed in a variety of ways. measures 20 x 13 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.
