refinished vintage american medical three-legged stool designed and fabricated by the frank s. betz company, hammond, ind. the lightweight tubular steel stool was salvaged from the old cook county hospital, chicago, ills. the base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the wood seat is original and firmly attached to the three-legged base. great overall condition. dates to the 1920's.
