all original late 1940's steam gauge factory stationary workbench with refinished rock hard maple wood tabletop. the four-legged base is comprised of heavy gauge cold-rolled steel with a mostly uniform brushed bare metal finish. the industrial table or desk contains two identical centrally located pull-out drawers with recessed "cup" type handles. the stackable drawer unit is mounted firmly against the underside of the table. a spacious folded sheet steel storage shelf is bolted to the interior side of each angled steel leg. the solid maple wood top contains surface wear consistent with age. the workbench was fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. measures 39 x 30 1/4 x 29 1/2 inches.
