early 20th century original oversized refinished cast iron flush mount freight elevator car or cab control panel designed and fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york city, ny. the long and narrow iron panel contains multiple openings once containing push buttons and an on/off toggle switch. the otis world globe emblem is found at the very top of the backplate. the cast iron has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat finish. great overall condition. salvaged from c 1911 factory complex in chicago. measures 3 3/4 x 16 1/2 inches.
