rare privy-dug mid-nineteenth century (1847-1849) dark emerald porter style bottle embossed with manufacturer's name. the tall rounded body has a tall slim neck finished with an applied tapered lip and ring. at the bottom of the body is cleanly embossed "eagle works" and right above the heel an abbreviated "philadelph.a" with raised end-letter. above the embossing is a small dimple, or air vent mark from manufacture. the bottle features some haze on the interior, and concentric surface scratches. the base has a shallow kickup with some residue. the body itself is irridized and features a rainbow patina, especially near the base.
