mid-nineteenth century (1857-1865) deep emerald porter style beer bottle with an applied double tapered lip that has significant slop. the bottle was likely manufactured by dyottville glass works, for george w. flanagen in philadelphia. the body is deeply embossed “geo. w. flanagen” and beneath that is an abbreviated “philadelphia” with a raised end-letter. the base has a domed kick-up. the glass has allover bubbles and some surface scratches, but is intact and in good condition.
