heavy duty diminutive american industrial store display stationary riser or stand supported by an early 20th century cast iron steam valve bonnet designed and fabricated by the boylston steam specialties company factory, chicago, il. the repurposed solid oak wood railroad boxcar floor board top has been planed, sanded and sealed. the flat head steel bolts were brushed and clear coated. the oak wood platform or top was salvaged from a depression era great northern railway boxcar in the process of being scrapped after nearly fifty years of continued use. the stationary industrial cast iron bonnet has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. ideal for retail settings. limited number available. 16 inches x 9 inches x 10 1/2 inches.
