structurally sound and stable late 1940's or early 1950's american vintage industrial freestanding robust table supported by pressed and folded heavy gauge steel legs designed and fabricated by lyon metal products inc., aurora, il. the distinctive table contains a solid maple wood tabletop formerly used as a bowling alley lane with the original slightly recessed black bowling pin "spots" intact. the two flared feet steel bases are reinforced with a single wood stretcher that doubles as a footrest or undershelf. the two lyon legs have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the tabletop has been lightly cleaned and resealed. great overall condition. measures 42 1/2 x 47 x 34 3/4 inches.
