original and intact c. 1930's american industrial riveted joint heavy gauge sheet steel portable tool box salvaged from an old chicago transit authority workshop. the hinged top contains a lockable hasp and custom-built bent steel stationary handle. the red paint finish over metal remains largely intact with sporadic discoloration evident. the folded and pressed galvanized steel box is structurally sound and secure.
