exceptional all original and largely intact late 1860's antique american exterior salvaged chicago clapboard commercial building oversized window hood or header possibly fabricated by the hintze & baker company, chicago, ills. the painted pine wood architectural element was discovered on the facade of an extant building the had been bricked over during the 1920's. the polychrome paint finish, with allover crazing, has been undisturbed since that time. the pre-fire chicago exterior facade element contains raised panels flanking a centrally located "bullseye." measures 68 x 7 x 36 inches.
