one of two matching original c. 1879 ornamental cast bronze metal banded rim residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the hopkins & dickinson mfg. co., new york city, ny. the intricately designed doorknob features very dense ornament surrounded by a border with more simplified floral motifs. the nicely aged surface patina has not been cleaned. excellent overall condition considering age.
