original and intact c. 1870's glazed white porcelain commercial store door "push" & "pull" plaques featuring a union shield profile. the flush mount ceramic plaques were salvaged from an old chicago pharmacy (found on the original entrance door stowed away in the basement). the porcelain plaques retain the original hand-painted black & gold metallic enameled finish. priced for the set. possibly fabricated by the nashua lock company, nashua, nh. measure 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches and 3 x 2 1/2 inches.
