original c. 1880's american victorian era oversized cast bronze decorative triangular-shaped escutcheon or backplate designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the interior residential doorknob backplate contains three screw holes for mounting purposes. the nicely aged surface patina was left untouched. crisp detail. great overall condition. multiple rosettes available.
