c. 1900-05 american antique ornamental copper-plated cast iron "piccadilly" pattern backplate or escutchoen designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the doorknob backplater has been refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer. contains highly stylized leafage. the interior residential hardware remains in great condition. the backplate measure approximately 7 x 2 inches. the copper-plated finish remains largely intact.
