origina american folk art exterior single-sided flush mount depression era hand-painted amusement park wood sign. the long and narrow horizontal sign contains the word "entrance" in bold red lettering against a white paint background. the sign profile features inverted circles and/or reverse rounded edge corners. the pointing (directional) finger graphic provides added visual distinction or character. the sign was salvaged long ago from an upstate new york amusement park. the surface wear, in the form of paint loss and discoloration is consistent with age. measures approximately 60 x 1 x 9 inches.
