refinished vintage medical ophthalmic testing table base designed and fabricated by or for the bausch & lomb optical co., rochester, ny. the work stand features a heavy duty three-legged brushed metal cast iron base with distinctive cabriole style legs. the diminutive newly added table move up and down by rotating the oversized wheel wrapped around a threaded solid steel spindle. the workstation would have been equipped with a stainless steel patient headrest on one side and a massive swinging bracket (mounted along the underside of the stand) containing a retina eye scope on the opposite side.
