hard to find and highly sought after original early 20th century antique american wall-mount faries dentist's office "bracket" articulating arm task lamp. the completely intact intact and fully adjustable fixture was fabricated around 1900-15 by the faries mfg. co., dectur, il. the perforated swivel bracket is comprised of cast brass with finial and friction dial intact. the double-jointed tubular arm remains in excellent condition, considering age. the perkins push-button socket has been rewired with an period appropriate off-white cotton cloth braided lamp cord and plug. the tilting pressed steel hubbell "slim helmet" shade retains the original green enameled finish with light allover crazing along the surface. the bracket style lamp was a popular seller for dentists, jewelers and/or watchmakers, doctors, etc. remarkable intact example of the "no. 8" model, offered in several electrical part catalogs of the early 20th century.
