group of three matching heavy duty c. 1920's antique american industrial solid steel interior noel bank building vault door hinge finials fabricated by or for the mosler safe co., hamilton, oh. the tapered and turned acorn-shaped finials were originally salvaged from a massive rectangular-shaped safety deposit vault door. the original nickel-plated finish remains largely intact. the vault door was originally constructed for the extant noel state bank building, located in the wicker park neighborhood of chicago. the american neoclassical style bank building was designed and built by the architectural firm of weary & alford co., chicago, il., for joseph noel, who founded the north west savings bank in 1905. measure 3 1/8 x 3 1/2 inches. priced for the lot.
