matching lot of original and intact 19th century ornamental cast iron interior residential staircase support brackets with traces of original gold paint finish. the exact fabricator is not known. the rosettes contain bent solid steel rods with threaded ends for mounting to wood handrails. the lightly cleaned oversized handrail brackets were salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition.
