beautiful original collection of republican national convention tickets from chicago c.1932. two tickets from day one retaining one stub each, four from day two with no stubs remaining, two from day three with one stub remaining each, and four from day four with both original stubs remaining on each ticket. all twelve tickets nestle perfectly into the original envelope the owner held them in. the 1932 rnc was held in the now demolished chicago stadium, these tickets specifically were for the second balcony. it re-nominated president herbert hoover and vice president charles curtis for their respective positions. hoover was unopposed for the nomination, despite a lackluster republican party. nonetheless, the convention praised hoover and pledged itself to maintain a balanced budget. hoover's managers at the republican national convention ran a tight ship, not allowing expressions of concern for the direction of the nation. hoover was nominated on the first ballot with 98% of the delegate vote. priced for the lot.
