a set of original early 1930's american depression era single-sided stamped steel administration building lavatory or restroom door signs likely fabricated by the garden city plating & mfg. company, chicago, il. the two machine age signs contain lightly incised lettering highlighted in baked-on black enamel. the two sets of opposed parallel lines provide added character to the streamlined flush mount signs. the bathroom signs were salvaged from a historic administration building in chicago (currently being demolished). priced for the pair. measures 9 x 2 1/4 inches.
