matching set of identical unornamented heavy duty early 20th century refinished cast iron factory machine bases salvaged from a massive flat turret lathe formerly operated in a recently shuttered chicago factory complex. the matching lathe bases were fabricated by or for the jones & lamson company, springfield, vt. the heavy duty squat iron bases have very unique and distinctive curvaceous "feet" with pre-drilled holes for anchoring against the floor. the machines bases have been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. priced for the pair. the industrial bases possess virtually unlimited design potential in terms of repurposed furniture and so on. measures 14 3/4 top and 25 inches bottom L, 10 1/2 W, 17 1/2 H.
