early 20th century low-lying compact stationary pew or bench containing original antique american made cast iron bases or legs designed and fabricated by the american seating company, chicago, il. the newly rebuilt sunday school or church pew contains a saddled bench and backrest comprised of pine wood that has been planed, sanded and lightly stained. the cast iron bases have been brushed and sanded and treated with a clear coat finish. the exterior side of each bench leg contains a lightly embossed diminutive christian cross. the leg contain undamaged feet with openings for being mounted against the floor for added stability. only one available. 47 inches x 16 inches x 32 inches.
