c. 1900's interior residential ornamental cast iron doorknob backplates salvaged from a milwaukee foursquare house undergoing demolition. the embossed escutcheons were likely fabricated by lockwood or the sargent hardware company. brushed metal surface treated with a clear coat lacquer. the original copper-plated finish remains partially intact. bursts of intense leafage found at the top, bottom and between the keyhole and collar. measure approximately 8 5/8 x 2 1/4 inches. priced for the pair.
