matching set original and hard to find american eastlake style "ivy" pattern ornamental cast brass interior residential window sash locks designed and patented by john j. kennedy of branford, ct. the unusually large "burglar proof" window sash locks were salvaged from the first floor windows of the david c. cook mansion, built in 1884-85. the pivoting or swinging arm moves with ease. original "eagle claw" sash keepers intact. black enameled inlay used to accentuate the detail (i.e., ivy leaf field pattern). fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. measures approximately 3 x 2 1/4 inches. priced for the pair.
