original and unrestored c. 1940's american vintage industrial wall mount galvanized steel single sleeve or pocket custom-built for storing boiler and/or power plant schematics. the light weight wall sleeve contains an allover crazed white paint finish that has discolored substantially over time. the words "engine room" or stenciled in black lettering. the sleeve contains two screw or nail holes for mounting purposes. the storage pocket was salvaged from the cook county hospital power plant prior to demolition in 2010. the bundle of schematics stored away were used to operate and/or maintain the hospital's massive wilcox boiler. measures 23 x 16 inches.
