late 1920's american medical folded and pressed riveted joint galvanized steel combination sterilizer cabinet and table salvaged from the old cook county hospital (chicago, il.). the lightweight diminutive side table has been thoroughly cleaned and brushed down to bare metal. a clear coat lacquer has been applied to prevent corrosion. the unique furniture piece contains a hinged cabinet door with original "finger-twist" handle or pull. the tabletop and undershelf remain structurally sound and stable. possibly fabricated by the wilmot castle co., rochester, ny. measures 18 x 11 x 28 inches.
