original freestanding american antique industrial double door wardrobe locker designed and fabricated by the durand steel locker company, chicago, il. the early 1920's oversized locker contains two hinged doors with top and bottom louvered vents and riveted handle with sliding latch bolt. the interior retains the original drab olive green baked enameled finish. the heavily compartmentalized interior features small concealed modules with hinged doors, hat and garment racks and storage shelves. the cabinet exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. the durable "fireproof" locker was salvaged from the chicago athletic association annex building. Measures approximately 24 x 21 x 78 inches.
