largely intact c. 1910-15 vintage american industrial heavily reinforced galvanized steel angled front oily rag factory cabinet with overlapping riveted joint seams. the custom-built stationary cabinet was salvaged from an old chicago boiler works factory. the cabinet interior is divided into two equally-sized compartments (for clean and dirty rags respectively). the angled front cabinet door contains two welded joints hinges and a bent and folded steel drawer pull or handle. a long and narrow upper compartment with "spill proof" raised edges held various cleaning agents, etc. the unique industrial cabinet measures 24 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 32 1/2 inches. brushed metal finish treated with a cleat coat lacquer.
