original and intact c. 1950's american vintage industrial telescoping "adjusrite" pressed and folded steel research laboratory stool with a circular steel swivel seat. the mobile stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the unusual four-legged cast iron base retains the original petite-sized swivel casters. structurally sound and stable. brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's.
