all original and intact c. 1920's american medical bent tubular steel hospital operating room surgeon's stool designed and fabricated by the a.s. aloe company, st. louis, mo. the stationary stool with tripod base was salvaged from the old cook county hospital, located in chicago, il. the portable stool has been refinished and sealed with a clear coat sealant. the pressed and folded heavy gauge steel revolving seat remains in great condition. the legs are reinforced with three solid steel rods protruding from a center fitting or ring.
