original and fully functional repurposed three-legged early 20th century stage magician's telescoping stand repurposed into a diminutive side table. the three-legged cast iron stand was likely fabricated by the oaks magical co., oshkosh, wi. the tapered iron base contains three short cabriole style legs with pre-drilled holes for anchoring against the floor. the telescoping extension is comprised of a hollow cylindrical-shaped oversized iron pipe. the newly added rectangular-shaped tabletop is comprised of solid hickory wood with a four-sided setback apron. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat finish to prevent surface corrosion. width 30" x length 13 3/4" x height 31 1/2".
