hard to find and highly sought after 19th century ornamental cast iron wall-mount lavatory toilet paper roll holder designed, patented and fabricated by the sanitary paper co., milwaukee, wisc. the early paper roll dispenser features a hinged drop-down lockable door used for readily accessing or changing rolls of paper. the front panel features intricate foliated scrollwork surrounding the word "sanitary." patent dates and other manufacturer markings are found in small print directly above the dispenser opening. great overall condition considering age. the rare paper roll holder has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
