clean and compact c. 1930's american depression era lightweight art deco style antique american industrial freestanding storage cabinet possibly fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, ills. the remarkable cabinet was salvaged from the old roberts electric company factory machine shop prior to demolition. the cabinet contains two matching hinged doors that fasten tightly together. the original key is included to secure the doors. the interior is very spacious with the original baked-on enameled finish intact. the cabinet has been brushed down to bare metal and painstakingly sanded and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the two semicircular pulls or door handles are original to the cabinet. great overall condition. measures 25 1/2 x 20 x 65 inches.
