original c. 1940's vintage american industrial clean and compact "fireproof" american industrial pressed and folded steel factory office filing cabinet fabricated by the general fireproofing co., youngstown, oh. the filing cabinet contains a single piano-hinged cabinet door that conceals a spacious interior used for filing purposes. the hinged top retains the original brass handle. the riveted joint angled steel legs are reinforced with a single undershelf comprised of cold-rolled furniture sheet steel. the cabinet has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition. measures 17 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 25 inches.
