original c. 1890's antique american ornamental cast iron "geometric" pattern passage door backplate designed and fabricated by f.c. linde & co., cresskill, ny. the brushed metal backplate contains an allover textured field pattern accentuated with circular floral rosettes. the single keyhole and protruding collar are free from damage. measures 5 x 1 1/2 inches.
